DON LEE KEITH
EPISODES OF AMERICAN ROUTES WITH DON LEE KEITH
An appreciation of movies made in New Orleans with journalist and film historian Don Lee Keith. We listen to "Farewell to Storyville," from 1948's "New Orleans," starring Louis Armstrong and Billie Holliday. Keith discusses "A Streetcar Named Desire," Elvis Presley's 1957 "King Creole," and 1987's "Big Easy." With more than 150 New Orleans movies with music, there is no definitive film. "Good luck Hollywood," Keith says.
