He never strayed far from his bluegrass roots, though. Skaggs talks about bluegrass great Bill Monroe, playing "Big Mon," his tribute to Monroe, and "What Would You Give In Exchange For Your Soul?," Monroe's first recording. Skaggs discusses balancing Nashville country with bluegrass, and demonstrates how Monroe's manolin style evolved as he integrated new influences and himself became an influence on rock and roll.
