An INTERVIEW: with DJ, poet, blues scholar, and activist John Sinclair. Born in Michigan, Sinclair became one of the great New Orleans radio voices on WWOZ-FM. Sinclair talks about discovering underground radio in the 1950's. In the '60s, Sinclair managed the rock group MC5, with whom he founded the White Panther Party. Arrested in 1968 for marijuana possession, Sinclair discusses John Lennon's crucial role in agitating for his early release -- with a song.
